We’re combining findings from economics, psychology, evolutionary biology and neuroscience.
This multidisciplinary approach allows us to focus on human decision-making at a very complex level.
We run one of three large-capacity laboratories in the Czech Republic used for research on human decision-making. Seventeen terminals separated by partitions allow us to get data from up to 100 participants a day, thanks to which we’re also involved in larger international research projects.
Our research has something to offer – by publishing their results in impacted international academic journals, we contribute to the better name of the Czech Republic in the field of science.
One of our goals is to build an international platform for knowledge exchange by teaching at universities and by organizing conferences and summer schools. We cooperate with CEVRO Institute, where we teach modern approaches to public policy making or behavioral finance. Our members also teach at for example the University of Economics, Prague, and the Charles University.
We want the findings from the fields we’re interested in to be available to all who are interested in it in a comprehensible form – therefore we organize conferences, lectures, and workshops and we write popularizing articles for the general public.
We implement the results of laboratory and field experiments into public policies (such as unemployment, energy sustainability or health) and into the decision-making processes of individuals, companies, government, public and other organizations (e.g. managerial decision making) thus we contribute to better legislation or more comfortable workplace conditions.
